LAFF film festival
04
The inaugural Loudoun Arts Film Festival entertained and engaged audiences by curating innovative and compelling films that reflected Loudoun County’s increasingly diverse populace. The festival was originally conceived as a seated event, but organizers pivoted to a drive-in format to accommodate the realities of the coronavirus outbreak. To present this event, Art of the Matter collaborated with Artistic Fuel in partnership with the Loudon Arts Council. This event enabled the community to come together and support artists during the pandemic, via a safe, distanced outdoor format.
honoring a
community icon
This sculpture, initiated and fundraised by Art of the Matter, was commissioned to honor Stanley Caulkins, an iconic community leader. Created by internationally renowned sculptor Jeff Hall, this piece is the only seated bronze sculpture in the historic district. As part of this project, a bust and pedestal were created in the Leesburg executive airport, also named in honor of Stanley Caulkins. We are proud to celebrate Mr. Caulkins' dedication to the greater good in his local community and beyond.
